our life in photos :): February 2016

2016 is off to a great start! Lots of adventure so far with a toddler and a new baby. Jesus is transitioning out of the golf course job and into the farm, but has a month off right now with the new baby's arrival, so enjoying our time as a new family of 4! Trying to soak up this time of being so so needed by 2 little ladies and enjoy each moment. I know it is ok to feel overwhelmed, but we are doing an awesome job and we need to keep a big picture view! We are chugging along on paying off our house- about half way paid off to the bank! And Jesus is still working toward his PGA and hoping to give lessons this summer. Jesus has been SO into games- it is a little annoying. I am putting up with it and have learned a new game pretty much every month for the last while... I told him I get a break with the new baby's arrival ;)

our last "getaway" before baby. we actually just stayed home sans Johanna, but we went out to coffee and played games and we went out for tater tots and just really relaxed and enjoyed each other!

All but one hen and our rooster were eaten...by the neighbor's dog, Spot, we believe... so we took Jr's flock that he didn't want anymore.... so we now have 4 hens and 3 stupid roosters. We need to get rid of the pretty little rooster, Little Farmer- he is LOUD and useless! and our old red rooster. and we want to keep Goliath- he is actually really protective and huge, so he is an asset! and maybe we can get baby chicks ;)

Johanna is getting even more fun now at almost 23 months old! She plays pretend, she can talk a storm and hold full conversations, she can ask for exactly what she wants and tries to manipulate us into getting it (candy, for example!), she loves pretty dresses, and loves to help mama, she would be outside all day if you let her, she loves to watch TV (too much...i want to get rid of the tv after the summer farm season!) and enjoys "Super Why" and "Daniel Tiger", and she is very into art! She has started to show some serious focus- she can spend 30 minutes focused on one task- such an incredible little girl. She has recently started spending the night at Gramma Sandee's house and loves all the attention she gets there ("Are you mine, Gramma Sandee?") Loving getting to watch her grow and just delight in her!

Jesus led the Bandon Dunes golf trip again this year.

June Elizabeth Gonzalez was born on 2/5/16 at 4:44 a.m. Such a precious little angel already! Easy and quick labor and delivery and our family is transitioning well at 1 week in :)
