Fall 2014

Whew! Thanksgiving is over... the past month has flown by.  I was busy preparing Christmas gifts, enjoying visits with family, and loving a little slower pace.  We have been enjoying the cooler weather a lot, but feeling a little cooped up with the baby.  Johanna is so active and adventurous and after a rigorous 3 hours in the morning, she gets bored with all her toys.  So, we got a killer deal on Gymboree Play & Music classes and have been enjoying those and will continue to through Jan 5th. Johanna is such a social little thing- she loves her grandma, aunts, cousins, uncles, and especially her daddy. She loves going to our  mom's group and to Gymboree classes and she just eats up all the attention.  Jesus' job has slowed down just a little, so we are enjoying a little more quality time together. Johanna is still going to bed by 6:15, so we really enjoy our evenings! We are almost done watching "Criminal Minds" and I am really glad because I am now creeped out by everyone. We are so ready for Christmas- my favorite time of the year!! I do not think we will get a tree this year because our little army crawler would constantly be getting reprimanded, but maybe we will hang some lights inside :) We are in the process of buying a house- getting pre-approved for a loan and going to look at houses. Soo exciting! I am really excited to be away from the farm during the stressful summers, but it is pretty cozy during the winters so I will miss that! We are excited to put our money into a house that we can later turn into a rental- setting ourselves up for success! We are just loving life right now and soaking up all the sweet moments with our little family of 3!

little miss had a fever in these pics, which is why she looks so tired.  turns out, she had roseola...poor baby!

my sweet helper girl :)

great grandma Karen came to visit!  aunt Sheri moved to Oregon for 3 months, so we got lots of time with her!

The Naef's baby, Sienna! She is about a month older than Johanna.

Johanna's first Halloween. She was a zebra ;)

Hangin' with the Cnossen crew

She is all over the place- army crawling, pulling up, climbing, furniture walking. so much fun! she loves to self feed and is getting pretty good at a little independent play!

love him so much! i am so thankful i get to be his wife. we have been learning so much- about parenthood, about selflessness, about sacrifice, about love and respect, and about each other. marriage is such an incredible journey and a blessing!

Gonzalez 2nd annual family beach trip.  We celebrate an early Thanksgiving and Christmas with the whole family before Jr. and Blanca take off to Mexico for 3 months. Poor baby was sick the whole time, but she was such a trooper!

the one good lights pic for the Christmas card ;) see bloopers below

finding it hard to get a really good picture of Johanna with Grandpa Rick.... someday!

FINALLY some wonderful family pictures for our Christmas cards! I have been trying for months to get a picture with all 3 of us looking and smiling. sooo excited about these!

Thanksgiving! My grandparents came to town and Alex came home from college, so we spent lots of time hanging out with the Cnossen side this year. We also did a Thanksgiving dinner with the Gonzalez side, but didn't end up getting any pictures :( We are so blessed! Our little family is the best gift God could ever have given me. I treasure them so much! We have amazing extended families and so much generosity and prayer poured into our lives.  I am so thankful for the community we have surrounded ourselves with!
